August 4, 2012:  VitalSensors is pleased to publish our white paper presentation from the World Brewing Congress.  Our Chief Technology Officer, Robert O'Leary, delivered this presentation, Testing Ingredients at Critical Process Control Points, to an enthusiastic audience at the WBC.

January 30, 2012:   VitalSensors announces the launch of the VS-1300P Pharma Inline Fermentation Monitor, an infrared sensor system specifically configured for fermentation applications in pharmaceutical production.  The Pharma Fermentation Monitor probe is ideal for use in vats or tanks and is capable of measuring one, two or three parameters in real-time. 

 

January 9, 2012:   VitalSensors announces the launch of the VS-3000 BioEthanol Process Monitor, a VS-3000 system specifically configured for applications in bioethanol production.  The BioEthanol Process monitor is ideal for measuring fermentation progress and brix content in a high-output, zero discharge process.  VitalSensors is excited to bring this instrumentation offering to the renewable fuels industry.

October 26, 2011:   VitalSensors is featured in the Brazilian publication Cana Mix.  This publication features news and technical developments from the Brazilian sugar refining industry.  The article features commentary from industry expert Edmundo Barbosa.  An English translation of the article is forthcoming.

 

October 20, 2011:   VitalSensors Chief Technology Officer, Robert O'Leary publishes a revised version of Attenuated Total Reflection Spectroscopy Method for Measuring Dissolved CO2 Concentration in Beer.  Initially published in 2005, this "white paper" has been updated to reflect the current state of the ATR measuring technique.  Click Here for a list of all VitalSensors white papers.

 

October 16, 2011:   VitalSensors  was an exhibitor at the 2011 MBAA Conference in Minneapolis.  The conference served as venue for the public debut of the VS-200 Sensor Management Station.  Thank you to everyone who visited our exhibit.

September 30, 2011:   VitalSensors introduces a new controller option for VS-3000 and VS-1000 Series Sensors. The VS-200 Sensor Management Station mounts on a 35mm DIN rail and runs on 24 VDC power.  The VS-200 features two-way EtherNet/IP capabilities and is the most compact controller produced by VitalSensors to date.  Learn More.

April 21 2011:  VitalSensors personnel will be attending the MBAA New England District meeting at the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain (Boston) MA.  The event is open to MBAA members and will run from April 29-30, 2011.

 

April 18 2011:  VitalSensors will be exhibiting the VS-3000 Beer and Wine Monitor at 33rd European Brewery Convention in Glasgow, Scotland.  The show is being held at the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre from May 22-26, 2011.

 

April 6, 2011:   VitalSensors publishes graphs comparing the VS-3000 infrared measurement to legacy technology.  Click Here to view the slides (also found in the White Papers section).  The charts show 1 month's worth of production data collected at a large brewery.  Our direct measurement is compared to a temperature/pressure inference for CO2 concentration and a density/sound velocity inference for ethanol concentration.  The raw data can by furnished upon request.

October 31, 2007:  VitalSensors Technologies introduces the VS-1000AC Inline Organic Acid Sensor. This inline instrument is suitable for real-time dissolved organic acid concentration monitoring in food and beverage production plants.

 

October 5, 2007:  A paper entitled "Novel On-line Sensor for Measuring Dissolved CO2 Using Attenuated Total Reflectance Technology" is published in the Master Brewers Association of Americas Technical Quarterly & MBAA Communicator, Volume 44 - Number 2 - 2007. This paper is based on the breakthrough research of VitalSensors Chief Technology Officer Bob O'Leary and the VitalSensors Laboratories.  Read More

January 28, 2007:  VitalSensors Technologies introduces a new VS-1000B Inline Brix Sensor for measuring dissolved brix/sugars concentrations in beverages and foods.

 

January 1, 2006:  VitalSensors Technologies publishes paper on "Attenuated Total Reflection Spectroscopy Method for Measuring Dissolved CO2 Concentration in Beer". The paper discusses the limitations of CO2 measurement methods based on Henry's Law and compares them to a direct infrared measurement. Read More
